Do you offer massages/treatments for expectant mothers?

Shiatsu massage is available for expectant mothers in their second trimester. |

Do you offer massages/treatments to clients who have recently undergone surgery?

We advise that you consult your doctor about massages/treatments available at Hoshino Resort. An appointment may be refused if you have an existing illness.

Do you offer massages/treatments to clients who are receiving medical treatment?
|
|
|
Clients with cardiac disease, cancer, varicose veins, infectious diseases, and skin diseases may be refused treatment. Please consult your doctor about massages/treatments available at Hoshino Resort and inform staff of any existing conditions.

Is it possible for men to receive massages/treatments?
|
|
|
Yes. All massages/treatments are available for both males and females.
|
|
|

Can two clients receive massages/treatments in the same private room?
|
|
|
We provide a private room located by the river for each client to induce deep relaxation and overall well-being. Please contact us if you prefer to have a massage/treatment together.

May I take children into a private room?
|
|
|
We regret that you are not permitted to bring children into the private rooms with you. Please contact us if you would like to use our nursery service. We are more than happy to look after your children while you treat yourself to a relaxing massage or one of the other treatments available.

Is Hari, acupuncture safe?
|
|
|
There is no need to worry about infection as only sterile acupuncture needles are used.
You may experience some degree of discomfort after your treatment however this is a protective response of the body and will pass.

Can I book a massage/treatment after arriving?
|
|
|
Our massages/treatments are by advance reservation only. It is possible to book a massage or treatment subject to availability after arrival.
We recommend that you reserve your treatment time well in advance to avoid disappointment. Please dial 7 from your room or visit the Spa reception located between the Men's and Women's Meditation Bath.

Are treatments time scheduled? May I select a time frame?
|
|
|
Treatment times are set as indicated below.
15:00 - 17:00
17:30 - 19:30
21:00 - 23:00
We recommend that you reserve your treatment time well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Is there any cancellation charge?
|
|
|
One day's notice is required when canceling or changing an appointment otherwise cancellation fees will be charged.
|
|
|

Do I have to bring anything?
|
|
|
No. Equipment (Towels, bathrobes, slippers, disposable shorts, hair brush and drier, etc.) are provided in each of the private rooms. You may need to bring cosmetics if receiving a facial treatment.

|
Can visitors who don't stay in Hoshinoya use the Spa and the Hot springs?
|
|
|
Unfortunately, Hoshinoya spa and Meditation bath are for guests only.
Tombo-no-yu Hot Springs is open to the public.
